The core of scientific operation of screw conveyors is to follow the four principles of "no-load start-up, uniform feeding, standardized shutdown, and regular maintenance". Based on the latest operating standards and safety requirements, the specific steps are as follows:
1、 Preparation before startup
Check the equipment status: Confirm that the spiral blades, casing, and drive device are not damaged or loose, and that the protective cover is complete.
Ensure no-load state: It is strictly prohibited to start with materials. The machine can only be started when there is no material inside the casing.
Electrical and lubrication inspection: Check the motor insulation, cable connections, and gearbox oil level to ensure that the ventilation holes are unobstructed.
2、 Operating standards during operation
Start in sequence: If multiple units are connected in series, they should be started sequentially from the discharge end to avoid material blockage.
Step by step feeding: After starting normally, slowly increase the feeding speed to the rated value, maintain uniform feeding, and prevent clogging or overload.
Real time monitoring: Pay attention to operating noise, vibration, current fluctuations, and temperature rise. If any abnormalities are found, immediately stop the machine for inspection.
Prohibit illegal operations:
It is strictly prohibited to open the cover plate for inspection or cleaning during operation;
Do not insert hands, tools or other debris into the interior of the equipment;
Do not transport hard bulk materials or iron impurities to prevent the screw from getting stuck or damaged.
3、 Shutdown and subsequent processing
Cutting off materials in advance: Stop feeding before parking and wait for the materials inside to be completely discharged before stopping the machine.
Standardize the shutdown process: For the 2026 new equipment, it is recommended to use a gradient shutdown of "speed reduction → shutdown → power-off" to prevent the impact of the "material hammer".
Cleaning and maintenance:
Clean up residual materials promptly after shutdown;
Regularly lubricate bearings and replace gearbox lubricating oil;
Check the wear of the spiral shaft and whether the connecting screws are loose.
4、 Security and Intelligent Management (New Requirements for 2026)
Personnel qualifications: The main operator must hold three certificates: "Special Certificate for Spiral Conveyor", "Low Voltage Electrician Certificate", and "Limited Space Operation Certificate" to work.
Energy isolation: During maintenance, it is necessary to perform "six source simultaneous disconnection" (power supply, gas source, liquid source, material source, heat source, signal source) and complete NFC blockchain electronic lock verification.
Digital twin monitoring: Real time monitoring of torque fluctuations, current harmonics, bearing temperature and other indicators, automatic deceleration or shutdown when exceeding limits.
