This function is achieved through a frequency converter, which is the equipment of the entire drive system and also the control system that needs to control the equipment. The frequency converter mainly controls the speed of the motor. Another important function of the frequency converter is soft start and soft stop. When a fixed frequency is given, various parameters of the frequency converter are set, and an appropriate starting acceleration time is given to gradually increase the speed with the increase of frequency, and start according to the given starting curve, such as the S-shaped curve, and the slow acceleration of the large angle belt conveyor. When the power consumption of the load carried by a general motor is about 75% of the rated power, the motor efficiency is high. In the case of light load on the belt, reducing the belt speed appropriately per unit time is equivalent to increasing the coal load of the large angle belt conveyor, which improves the operating efficiency of the motor. At the same time, under the same load, according to the relationship between torque and power mentioned above, reducing the speed also reduces the load power. Therefore, choosing an appropriate speed can not only improve the operating efficiency of the motor, but also play a role in saving energy.
